HOW
DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
?
Some surgery consultations are by appointment. Please telephone or call
to make an appointment. It is helpful if you can tell the receptionist
if more than one member of the family needs treatment. If making appointments
for smears, full medicals or family planning, please let us know as these
take more time. If you cannot keep your appointment please let us know
as soon as possible.
HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN A
HOME VISIT ?
In general it is better if patients are seen at the surgery where all
the patient records are available and facilities for examination and investigation
are better. Home visits are for patients who genuinely cannot attend the
surgery. Please make a request for a visit before 10.30am. We are always
anxious to see sick children promptly. You may be asked
to wrap the child up and bring them to the surgery by car or by taxi,
so they can be seen without delay. This applies to any sick child, even
when they have a fever.
HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN A
REPEAT PRESCRIPTION ?
Repeat prescriptions will be
issued at the doctor's discretion and are normally for patients on long
term treatment. Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made by telephone,
in writing or by calling into the surgery during normal office hours.
Please note that a full 24 hours' notice is needed for these prescriptions.
When possible give exact drug names when requesting prescriptions.
HOW
DO I...
MAKE A COMMENT/COMPLAINT
?
We always try to provide the best service possible, but there may be times
when you feel that this has not happened or that things could have been
handled better. We hope you will allow us to look into and, if necessary,
correct any problems that you have identified. If you have any comments,
suggestions or complaints, please contact us in person or in writing.
The only way we can improve the quality of the services we provice is
by listening to your suggestions.
