The practice nurse is involved at all levels of the practice; her numerous tasks include:
• Antenatal/Postnatal Check Ups • Cervical Screening (cervical smears)
• Well Woman Care • Family Planning
• Pregnancy Testing • Childhood Immunisations/Vaccinations
• Travel Vaccinations • Venepuncture/Blood Tests
• Removal Of Sutures • Wound Care
• Leg Ulcer Management/Dressing • Blood Pressure Monitoring
• Electrocardiograph • Diabetic Care
• Dietary Advice • Ear Syringing
• Health Education • Asthma Education
(advice and management and inhaler technique)

The nurse also assists in minor surgery and is available to offer professional advice.
